Sustainability

Sustainability is not a new concept at Pickering. In fact, current CEO Mike Pohlman started his Pickering career with a group called "Energy Management Consultants," a team performing energy audits to identify and implement energy-saving design strategies. We continue to provide energy auditing and other energy conserving services today. It is simply a part of our business philosophy to identify energy cost-saving opportunities for our clients that translate into environmental sustainability.

We have a number of LEED Accredited Professionals - both Architects and Engineers - on our staff and have been involved in a many LEED design projects. But we find that the best way for us to make a major impact is to seek out alternative energy-related projects, where our work can support the industry that offers our best hope for true, long-term sustainability.
