Jacksonville, Florida Water and Sewer Expansion Authority
Pickering, in association with Global Water Resources Management, is providing Comprehensive Project Delivery Team (PDT) Services including:
- advance planning;
- funding planning and procurement; and
- facility planning.
The completed effort will extend wastewater services to 22 of 69 un-sewered areas of the City of Jacksonville, Florida. Cost to serve the 12, 000 homes and businesses in these 22 areas is estimated at $160 million. Our PDT is assisting WSEA in securing the full funding necessary using a comprehensive funding plan consisting of over 30 carefully researched and viable funding sources.
Our work may also provide advance planning for the remaining un-sewered areas, all of which are the result of a consolidation of Duval County and City services under the City of Jacksonville. The elimination of failing septic systems is a major goal of the City and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection in their effort to restore and protect the water quality of St. John’s River.
